Refund Policy
Simple, fair, and customer-friendly
1. 7-Day Self-Serve Refund Window
You may request a full refund of any paid MicroDocs.net document order within 7 calendar days of payment, directly from your dashboard. No phone calls, no email back-and-forth.
To request a refund:
- Sign in to your dashboard.
- Find the order in your order history.
- Click Request Refund and complete the short form.
Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. Funds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
2. What Happens to Your Document License
Every paid order receives a unique document license number (format: MD-TX-YYYY-XXXXX) that is printed in the footer of every page of every PDF in your binder.
When you request a refund, that license is cancelled immediately. The cancellation will be visible to anyone who looks up the license at microdocs.net/verify. By submitting a refund you certify that:
- You have not filed any of the documents with a court, county clerk, or financial institution.
- You will destroy all printed and digital copies of the documents in your possession.
- You understand the license will be marked CANCELLED on the public verification page.
3. Late or Missing Refunds (>10 Business Days)
If more than 10 business days pass after a self-serve refund request and the funds still have not appeared on your statement, a "Refund is missing" button will appear next to that order on your dashboard.
Clicking it will:
- Automatically re-issue the Stripe refund from our side.
- Email you a confirmation.
You should not need to email support — but if anything still doesn't look right, write us at support@microdocs.net and we will personally fix it.
4. Refunds After the 7-Day Window
Outside the 7-day window, refunds are handled case-by-case. Email support@microdocs.net with your license number and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within one business day.
5. Add-On Purchases
Add-on purchases (e.g. extra regenerations) are tied to an existing paid order and follow that order's refund window. Add-ons are not separately refundable once the extra regenerations have been used.
