Referral Program Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility. The MicroDocs.net Referral Program is open to adults (18+) with a valid email address. Employees of MicroDocs.net and its affiliates are not eligible to earn commissions on their own purchases.
2. How referrals are tracked. Each referrer receives a unique permanent link in the form microdocs.net/ref/[CODE]. When a new customer visits that link, a 30-day cookie and a server-side session entry attribute their next purchase to the referrer. Customers who clear cookies before purchasing, or who arrive through a different attribution channel, cannot be retroactively credited.
3. Customer discount. Referred customers receive 15% off the full price of any MicroDocs.net package. The referral discount and any manually entered promo code are mutually exclusive — entering a promo code in checkout overrides the referral discount for that order.
4. Commission rate. Referrers earn a 15% commission on the full pre-discount price of every paid, non-refunded order placed through their link. There is no cap on the number of referrals or total commission earned. Add-ons (extra regenerations, etc.) are not commissionable.
5. 45-day hold period. Every commission is created in a holding status for 45 days from the date the order is paid. After 45 days, if the order has not been refunded, the commission moves to the available balance and becomes eligible for payout in the next monthly payout cycle.
6. Refunds reverse commissions. If a referred order is refunded (in full or in part), the corresponding commission is voided. Any commission still in the holding period is removed from the referrer's pending balance. Commissions that have already been paid out may be recovered through a transfer reversal or applied as an offset against future commissions.
7. Payouts. Available balances are paid monthly via Stripe Connect to the bank account associated with the referrer's Stripe Express account. Referrers must complete Stripe onboarding (collected the first time a commission becomes available) before a payout can be issued. The minimum monthly payout threshold is $50 in available balance — balances below $50 roll over to the next monthly cycle until the threshold is reached. Payouts are issued in U.S. dollars; the referrer is responsible for any third-party transfer fees imposed by their bank.
8. 365-day lapse if no bank is connected. Earned commissions that become available but cannot be paid out because the referrer has not completed Stripe Express onboarding (i.e., no bank account is connected) will lapse and be forfeited 365 days after they first become available. MicroDocs.net will send reminder emails before any balance lapses; once a balance has lapsed it cannot be reinstated. Connecting a bank account at any time before the 365-day window expires preserves the full balance for the next monthly payout cycle.
9. Taxes. Commissions are reportable income. Referrers who receive $600 or more in a calendar year will be issued an IRS Form 1099-NEC. Referrers are solely responsible for any tax liability associated with commission income. MicroDocs.net does not withhold taxes from payouts.
10. Prohibited conduct. Referrers may not (a) refer themselves or their own household, (b) use spam, deceptive advertising, paid search on MicroDocs.net trademarks, or unauthorized email lists to promote the link, (c) misrepresent the nature, price, or scope of MicroDocs.net's services, or (d) imply that MicroDocs.net is a law firm or that documents constitute legal advice. MicroDocs.net may forfeit commissions and deactivate accounts that violate these rules.
11. Changes & termination. MicroDocs.net may modify these terms, the commission rate, the discount rate, the hold period, or the payout schedule at any time, with notice posted on this page. Referrer accounts that are dormant for 90 days may be deactivated; reactivation is free and preserves the original referral code. MicroDocs.net may terminate any referrer account at its discretion for fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms.
