Five minutes from now, the plan exists
Pick the Couple plan or the Couple and children plan, answer the guided form, and download Texas-specific documents the same evening.
Are these documents legally valid in Texas?
Yes. All documents are based on Texas state law standards and comply with the Texas Estates Code. They are the same types of documents used by estate planning attorneys across Texas. They must be properly executed — signed and notarized — to become legally binding. MicroDocs is a document preparation service, not a law firm.
Do I need a notary?
Yes. Most estate planning documents require a notary’s signature to be legally binding in Texas. After you generate your binder, use the built-in Notary Finder. Typical Texas notary fees are $6–$15 per signature at a UPS Store, bank, or public library.
What is the difference between the Couple plan and the Couple and children plan?
The Couple plan ($499) includes 12 essential documents covering your trust, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. The Couple and children plan ($699) adds 11 more, including the declaration of guardian for children, the warranty deed that transfers your home into the trust, and HIPAA authorization for adult children 18+. If you have children or own a home, choose Couple and children — without the deed, the house can still go through probate.
Is MicroDocs available outside of Texas?
Not at this time. MicroDocs is exclusively for Texas residents. Documents comply with the Texas Estates Code specifically.
